Do you want to see an increase in your website traffic instantly as in overnight increase in your website traffic? Then, you might want to consider "buying" these traffic. The best way to do so is to launch a Google Adwords campaign. Why Google Adwords? This is because Google is the largest advertising medium on the internet. So, with Google Adwords, you will get the maximum amount of exposure. After all, 65% of internet surfers use Google. Now, I will give you some tips on using paid traffic as well as its advantages and disadvantages.
Two quick tips about using Google Adwords to increase website traffic. I assume that you already have a basic knowledge about Adwords. If not, I highly suggest that you grab this book and read from page to page. I will talk more about the book in my next post. Tip no 1: Target people with commercial intent. If I type in fish, it is most unlikely that I am going to buy any fish. But if I type in buy angel fish, that means I am going to buy one from the internet. Tip no 2: Use negative keywords to reduce unwanted clicks. You do not want people who search for "free information" to click on your ads. This will drive up your advertising cost.
The advantages of Google Adwords is that it works really well. Using the methods proposed in the book (obviously, I am not allowed to reveal its content because it is copyrighted), you will be able to drive targeted traffic to your website, buyers with their wallets ready. You spend about $200 in advertising campaign but you will be able to make $600 if you do it correctly.
The disadvantages of paid traffic is the high initial capital outlay and the lack of leverage. You need to have money to jump start an ad campaign. What if you have like 100 websites? Are you going to use Adwords on each and everyone of them? The lack of scalability is the only thing that bogs the Adwords campaign. But with paid traffic, you will definitely see an increase in website traffic. I can almost guarantee that!
